BREACH
Type | 2019
Breach is a military stencil typeface brought on from inspiration of typefaces from pre-1980's. I set out to create a typeface that resembled features of Futura Black but with a little Brian twist. The font had simple geometric shapes that come together with rectangles and no curves or angles.
I took inspiration from Futura Black to create this typeface over 7 weeks. I learned a lot from this type design, on how to use the program, Glyphs, and the process of kerning.
To showcase this typeface I chose to make a stencil accordion graffiti book for the potential use of spraypainting. This book is also an alphabet book gearing toward military terms that focus on the roots of the typeface.
